Coconut butter, which is also commonly referred to as Coconut oil, is a fat that consists of more than 90% saturated fat. As its name implies, this oil is obtained from coconuts and is commonly used for cosmetics, baking ingredients and cooking oil. Coconut oil’s largest exporter is the Philippines, and this country receives 7% of the total export income from this oil.
Coconut oil is rich in a fatty acid and is among the more stable of all vegetable oils. It is considered by many to be a health supplement, which improves metabolism and immunity. Coconut oil is said to be very beneficial to the skin. Coconut oil also causes no adverse reactions to the skin. In reality, there are individuals who have reported improvements in some skin conditions from using this oil. One of these conditions is eczema, which is a rash that forms blister-like lesions. Eczema can be very painful, and the lesions can cause scars.
